Next Webinar - January 18 at 10am

Overview of the Tax Notification Process

In preparation for the upcoming March 31 Tax Notification deadline, we have brought back two presenters from Municipal Affairs (MA) to give us an overview.

The presentation will be about 45 minutes with 15 minutes open to the floor for questions and discussion.

2023 Conference

The 2023 Conference will be held September 21 & 22 and may be extended, depending upon the 2022 Survey results and the planning committee decisions. If you have any further ideas that you would like share please email info@amtpa.ca.

Debi Malone

Debi works with the Town of Grimshaw and has worked reception, taxes and utilities for the last 4 1/2 years.

In her free time Debi loves to ride her motorcycle, garden, and spend time with her family.

Debi feels that our organization is a fantastic opportunity to share knowledge and to support each other.

Debi has joined the Board of Directors in the role of Director.

Membership Directory

To enhance our Members Directory we are looking for your input on what you would like to search for when looking for another member to reach out too. This information would be a field that members would update in their Profile.

For example, if your municipality passes Supplementary levies, Business Improvement Levies, Subclass Tax Class 1, or Subclass Tax Class 2 bylaws we can list those features for you in your profile and you would select what all applies. Using that information should allow us to custom build the Membership Directory so you can search on those items and it’ll pull up the members who checked that off. This would provide a list for members to email directly, other members for support or inquiries.

Please email education@amtpa.ca for any subjects you’d like to have added to searchable fields in the Membership Profiles to help find commonalities amongst each other.

The AMTPA job bank is available to all municipalities when seeking an educated and experienced candidate to support their growing organization.

This service is available to all municipal entities within Alberta for the low cost of $50 per listing. Each listing is posted on our website and promoted in our member newsletter.

How do I login if I don't know my password?

Members can reset their passwords by clicking on the forgot password link and following the instructions on screen. *Resetting your password also works to setup your password for the first time.

Remember to check your junk folder if you do not receive the forgot password email.

How do I change my information displayed in the member directory?

Login to your member profile, navigate to the Privacy link in your profile, click Edit profile. Setting the field to 'Members' will allow other members logged into the website to see the information in the member directory. Setting the field to 'No access' will hide this field from all members and only AMTPA administrators will be able to see the information. After making edits, click the Save button.

How can I add members to our municipality's membership?

If you have already paid for a membership with 2 or more members, please forward the other members you paid for this link that will allow them to submit their membership information.

If you have not purchased a membership yet, fill in an application to join today.

If you've previously purchased a membership and now need to pay for additional members for your municipality, please email info@amtpa.ca with the details.
