Mentorship Program

Happy New Year! Our 2024 resolution is to empower each other though Mentorship. The AMTPA Mentorship Program is up and running.

We have a great team of Mentors enrolled and ready to share their knowledge. Don’t wait until you are approaching burnout to get the support we all need from time to time.

Here are the steps to enroll as a mentee:

  1. Sign in to your profile on our website and head over to the Member Directory. This page can be found in the Members Area at the top of the home screen.
  2. On the Member Directory page, select “Yes” under the Mentor heading. This will filter your results to show only the approved Mentors.
  3. Swipe through their profiles and take note of your similarities ex. parcel count, software, special skills
  4. Email communications@amtpa.ca your top 3 mentor choices in preference order from 1-3. If there aren’t 3 choices that fit your criteria, or you just have questions about the program, no problem, just email me what you’re looking for!

Board Member Spotlight

We would like to introduce another new Board member this month. Linda Bauer has joined the Association as Treasurer. As she was recently promoted to Finance Manager for the County of Paintearth No. 18, we are thrilled to have her expertise.

Linda has been in the municipal world for the past 16 years and she joined our Association to gain futher experience from like minded colleagues.

Linda emigrated from England when she was 10 years old and thanks to Facebook is able to stay in touch with her childhood friends.

Linda and her husband Jeff live in Castor and have 4 children, 4 grandchildren and a 5th on its way! Congratulations Linda and Jeff.

In her spare time (when she has it!), Linda enjoys wakesurfing, golfing and spending time with her growing family.

The Association thanks Linda for sharing her experience and time.
