Membership Updates

We continue to grow!

We have welcomed the City of Edmonton and the City of Calgary to our membership. To have representation from all sizes of rural and urban municipalities provides a lot of value to the Association. If you know of a municipality that is not yet a member, be sure to talk us up! So many great opportunities for learning, growing and sharing happen when we work together.

In addition, a lot of assessment departments are recognizing the value of our Association for their tax departments. We have so much to learn from each other.

Assessment needs us to collect the revenues and we can't collect revenues without our Assessment colleagues'! Round and round we go...

Board Member Spotlight

Trinity Hindes

Secretary

Lac Ste. Anne County

Trinity works for Lac Ste. Anne County as the Property Taxation Administrator for the last 2+ years.

We met Trinity the first time when she volunteered to work on the 2023 Conference Committee. She has now transitioned to Board secretary and we are very pleased to have her!

Trinity says "I joined AMTPA to learn more about the job that I took on. The person that I replaced only trained me for a few months and she was gone, so I went on the hunt to find knowledge and peers for support. I joined the AMTPA Board in 2023 to learn more, and to try and help get the word out to all Property Taxation professionals in Alberta.

Outside of work my life is full with my husband, and our two fur babies, Maverick and Dom. We love camping, fishing, boating, quadding, kayaking, and paddle boarding in the summer month. Books, crocheting, and quilting become my hobby once winter hits, as I do not like the cold. I also love to take courses as often as I can to better myself and my position. I do not think we ever stop learning."

Trinity has been in Municipal Government for 7 years starting out in Public Works, transitioning to Utilities and now Taxes.  Trinity has also been the Secretary for the Stanger Recreational Society for the past 2 years.
